ive got ZERO driving experience pulling a sled, but id venture out and say the truck is pretty capable...

come on mikey... u know u dont wanna pull that over grown pig... and u better get one hell of a drop hitch... MAX hitch height is usually 26" off the ground. but do it cuz i wanna see that thing bounce down the track.

the middle of my hitch is only 28" off the ground, so its not that bad if 26 is the number. id be scared to run a pintle lower than that without substantial reinforcement, it would bend no doubt...

well, thats with 75-80 gallons in the bed, but yep, only 28" to the middle. with an empty transfer and more than 20psi in the tires, its prolly over 30"...

you ever measure your rear frame to axle dan? mine was 19-19.5 with 50 or so in the transfer.

Nope, I haven't measured the rear axle to frame yet.


I was ~30" to the bottom of my hitch with my old 2" tapered blocks in there. My current blocks are .75-1.0" smaller....

Ur gonna bounce to a full pull??? hmmm ill be the first to call BS... virgin puller and lifted truck with more weight in the ass than need be....probably wont get ya a full pull. ight do ok.... but depends on who u listen to when u get pullin advice. but nonetheless good luck with them 38's....cuz ull need it.

i would think the 38s would help me because theyre so wide. hell, denny pulls with 40s. at least im making enough power to turn em...
