Got back on the 16 from our annual jeep trip to lake Tahoe to run the Rubicon trail it was awsome. I towed my dads and my jeep on the 33' goseneck up there, 542 miles one way with the tihatchipies ( ? ) a 6% grade for about 15 miles and at the end of the trip a 7% grade for ten miles up a windy mountain road climbing to just under 8000'. My truck did great thanks to Dougs towing tune, the tranny never went over 205* and that was on the last grade otherwise 185*, EGTs hit 1400* once but I was on it hard so I let off a little and it pulled just as hard and was abut 1150*. It was heavey and I wasnt able to weigh before we left so on the way there we stoped at a gas station that had a cat scale and yeah it was heavy.

This is with truck, trailer, 2 jeeps, 4 coolers, 12 30 packs, 4 cases of water, food, full 50 gallon transfer tank...... and me in the truck.

Steer 5100

Drive 8080

Trailer 13960

Total 27140

I know I was way over loaded, 1080 just on the rear GAWR, 1680 on gvwr & 4140 on GCWR but the truck did fine and the load never felt unsafe. here is a picture of the setup.http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m106/michael82_2006/RANDOM062.jpg

Did you do any mods to the trailer to accommodate the 10" lift?

Sorry been buisy, wen we ordered the trailer I had 10" added to the tounge. With the adjustible 6" hitch on the trailer I raise it all the way for my truck or lower it all the way for my dads truck.
