View Full Version : Oil Guard Filtration is on??

I just put my oilgurard by pass filtration system on my truck (nice kit and looks good too) ...and drove her arround the block...filter canister got hot , both lines were hot, and no leaks....the only bone head thing I did not do was open the canister to make sure oil guard put their filter in.....opps....but in the morning I will check the oil and add a bit to her to bring it up to full (maybe 1 qrt..???froggy) ...How confident froggy are you that there is a filter in there...I know Im a bonehead..??

I am pretty confident. I did have a good laugh at Carssuck when I asked him if he removed the plastoc bag. I let him think there was a cover on the filter for about 10 minutes then called him back to tell him I was messin with him.

how many miles are the oilgurad filters good for froggy? and do you sale them or should we use oilguard.com ...I prefer you frog man if that is an option...Im going to pull a OA sample at 6k miles just to compare to my old ones and get an idea.....vary nice set up....thank you sir...

we get 10k out of ours, no problem except teh cannister doenst like to unscrew, if you pull teh cannister to check for afilter, which i would do, put some anti seize on teh trheads, 10k worth of dirt and grime will make it a real biotch to get unscrewed.
i twisted teh welded nut off my last one, but oil guard replaced for free. great customer sercive, froggy is selling a great product, this is my second set up

I still haven't checked to see if there is really a filter in there yet either:o
I now have 8k miles on this oil and I am trusting that there IS one in there! LOL!

When he called back I already had it figured out that there was no plastic cover since both lines were hot..:D
