Go to home depot or Aeroquip. Buy some parts. Get a regulator for the rear of the heads and there you go.

Have you done this Doug?

to feed the biggest injectors then you need a full return by pass regulated system Toby..from a larger pick up tube in the tank to bigger lines into the heads and everything in between...thats my 2 cents

I see some kits out there. Just really want to good kit so I dont have to run around and try to find the stuff. I live in a small town and we dont have big ouotfits like Lowes or Home Depot.

Wow! Thats some funny right there. Once I start to reassemble this block I have. I will put something together to get the price more reasonable. Just keep this in mind. The head only holds so much fuel. Going crazy will only do so much.

like gogodiesel stock options?................
PSDPlayer
11-02-2006, 04:06 PM
Yes. However only 49% of gogodiesel is for sale. That 49% will only ever be for sale as I don't ever want to have a boss. So who ever wants to split up the 49% will never be able to out vote me.

Here's what I run:
I have a -10 line from a bulkhead fitting in the bottom of my tank to feed my pump.
FASS 150/150 pump with a stroked motor to flow higher volume and pressure
-6 line to the secondary fuel filter housing
-4 lines to both heads with no banjos
Gutted stock regulator housing...-6 back to an SX adjustable regulator then back into the stock return line.
It's simple and it works. No-one has shown me any reason at all to flow all the way through the heads.
heinzboy
11-16-2006, 11:03 PM
What was the total cost of that Rich?
UNBROKEN
11-16-2006, 11:25 PM
I honestly have no idea....
Probably 150 bucks for hoses and fittings...whatever a FASS costs. Mine was another prototype deal I tested...then an adjustable regulator and gauge.
It could probably be duplicated for a little less than a grand.

Only reason to ditch the fuel filter housing is to cut it off the oil filter for more room for other stuff.

Agreed...I like having the secondary filter up there.
I did open it up last week...that small filter has about 10K on it. Aparently the FASS filter works really well...because it looked brand new. I was really surprised....but I left it in there.

Update: We have been seeing a few of the rear cylinders getting taken out. The thoughts on this is that we are running out of fuel since the fronts are using alot more.

Is this with stock fuel system, or with post head regulated?

number 5 & 7 and 6 & 8 right they do starve for fuel in stock form on hard accels or hauling heavy loads up hills. this is why i use a fuel crossover hose in the back of the heads. it dont fix it but helps ALOT,a full regulated return system is even better.

Damn soo if there starving stock, it has to be alot worse when a programmer is added.. When my fuel gauge was hooked up I was dropping to 45 pounds at WOT...

hey rich if you ever get time put a pressure gauge on the back of the head ether side and start your truck. you will see why you need a crossover line or a flow though fuel system. grab the pressure gauge line with your hand:eek: you can feel the pressure spikes even at an idel. when i was testing this i used a labscope with a pressure transducer, seen pressure go over 100psi and down to opsi at idel on the scope. Ill see if someone can post the graph sheets i have on the test.

get me one too when you find one...
the stage 1 kit is good so far to 250 injectors the stage 2 seem ok to 275 injectors if someone goes with bigger injector and needs a fuel system give it a try if it wont hold pressure i will make you one that does.

as i understand it, the factory pump is 90 liters per hour, which equates to just shy of 25gph. it will flow enough to keep pressure up even with the larger lines?

you are not only a thorn in my ass, but my bank account also jackass. :upyours:
Stage1 feed the front and return form the rear of the heads. Stage 2 replaces the factory pump with a fass and replaces the factory intank pickup with a bigger one it also replaces all line to the engine with larger lines. Stage 3 will be for the big boys the real deal stacked aero pumps with twin filters and water seperators 3/4 inch line and must be install by us casue i requires the headwork.

what aero pumps would be used in the stage 3 also? im trying to find an alternative to the fass...
one pump for each head with a common regulator
