alternator voltage

Hey,

How much voltage should the Alternator put out at idle?


Also, if a battery is bad will it cause the truck to run a little weak?

I have the SCT from you, and when I load a tune, drive it, and then go back to load another tune, it looks like its defaulting back to one file, Is this what it does, appearing to be programmed with one file, but in actuality, it is programmed with the file that I last input, and now, is just showing this file as the default ot, start place when programming?

Alternator output will vary deppending on batt needs. 12.6volts is a charged battery. So you can see somewhere between 13.6-14.4 volts. When you go to to program the vehicle, the first file that pops up is what is in position number 1. It has nothing to do with what file is in the truck.
