I just hooked up my aux. back up lights. I wire them so they come on with the normal back ups and then to a switch so I can turn them on without having to put the truck in reverse.

I hooked the lights to the Orange wire on the drivers side fuse panel from the up fitter switches and have no power. Do I need to install a fuse in the relay panel behind the glove box?

The lights on the switches are lit when the switch is on.

There are 4 wires. Did you check to see what wire gets voltage from what switch? The 2 thicker wires are for the 30amp service and the 2 thinner ones are for the 10amp.

I stopped at the dealer this morning to ask them about this and they said there were a few county trucks in there with the same issue..

The tech went outside to look and said "yep, you hooked into the PTO wires and it's a common mistake".

It just so happens that the wire colors and tracers coincide with the up fitters and are tied up in the same fashion. The up fitter wires are higher up in the dash..

So with that said, I will now gladly accept another stupid stamp on my dumb shit card! LOL
