My buddy has been talking some real smack. His truck is pretty quick but I was curious if it could beat 03 6.0 with sct, full exhaust and intake. He has a 05 6.0 with Big Hoss bundle and ATS Aurora 2000 turbo. How fast or faster is his truck then the one I listed? Could I take him on nitrous with a .073 jet?

he is smart enough to get an ATS turbo but no SCT? gah, what are they teaching kids these days....... i would think with nitrous you should surely have him

What about without nitrous? He also is on 35's and Im on 33's. What kind of power gain did he see from adding that turbo?

He didn't add alot of gains because of the turbo itself because Banks doesnt max out the fuel. Run him with or without Nitrous, you should beat him both ways.

Ok. I hear that the wet kits are the best to run. But there pretty hard to setup. How much bigger of a shot then .073 could I run with a wet kit?

I didn't say a wet kit was the best...I said they're the hardest to set up and thought I implied they can be unsafe if improperly set-up.
Stick with a dry shot like I already said......I don't want to sound condescending or anything...but wet shots are for the people that know nitrous and diesels. You just throw it on and you will hurt something expensive....period.

Well nitrous I know a thing or two about. diesels on the other hand Im still learning.

Then stick to a dry kit.
Everything you know about nitrous on a gasser doesn't apply to a diesel...other than the basic install.
Hell...you can run a .110 jet like I do on your diesel...but you don't have the extra fuel to burn so all you'll do is put the fire out and slow your truck down.

well if his trucks anything like mine, with the banks on it, the gear changes are pretty sloppy...mainly the 3-4 gear change...i have timed that gear change to take up to 2 seconds before.

the shiting on those boxes gets even worse when you start adding more power to the truck. my edge wouldnt even shift 1-2 or 2-3 with the propane, and the 3-4 was still REAL slow. i think a plain sct race file will beat him.

We did a truck down here put down 420 to the wheels and then we turned the water meth kit on. With a gallon of windshield washer fluid it put down 470hp and 810ftlbs.
