I have seen a ton of 08's here in eastern Wisconsin on the road and on the lots.

I took a few minutes the other day to check a 250 on the dealer's lot and I must admit, the interior seems much nicer.

The tall grill and head lights will take time for me to accept though.

So, who here is planning on picking one of these babies up and giving us a real world critique?

I think they look much better in person than in the magazines.
One thing I don't like is the price. Local dealer has one; 08 XLT SC 4x4 and the price is just shy of 50K.
No thanks on the price!

the dealer here ordered an 08 identical to my truck now but with nav and upfitter switches. its supposed to be finished next week, then however long it takes to ship. if i like, i will get it.

im worried because all my friends that have driven them, kept their current trucks until motors mods are avaliable, because they felt the 08 was down on power...

I definitely agree about the pic vs. in person.
I never looked at the sticker because my 07' is still so new and satisfies my new truck itch for the time being! LOL!

Down on power? Wow! I am surprised to hear that since GM is boasting about tq and hp.

Maybe they will start Conservative and turn up the power as these motors prove reliable?

How was the turbo lag, did your buddies say?
I wonder if the extra displacement and twins at least fixed that issue.

They think it is down on power because it is different than what we have now. There going off how it FEELS and sounds..Thats not a good indication that it is down on power. Hell my lincoln LS doing 120 only felt like 60mph. The Z06 doing 120 feels like 140..LOL. I didnt like the new look either until I seen an F450 4X4 Crew Cab Loaded. 60k
