I was thinking about some of the issues with the 6.0 and looked at the differances on the 6.4 looks like ford did some home work:)
the 6.4 is 390 cubic inches compaired to 365. the head bolts are 16mm compaired to 14mm. the radiator is 33 percent bigger, the water pump flows 125 gallons per minute compared to 75. the control actuator for the turbo is
2x the size of the 6.0. there are 2 egr coolers and even with a dpf the exhaust will flow1962cfm at 3000rpm. the injector and feed line issues are addressd with the high pressure common rail and piezo injectors. the 4 micron filter uptop is bigger,i always thought it did not have enough filter surface. im sure there will be some bugs but for the most part looks like they tryed to get it right the first time. any thoughts?????????????
thoughts?
i dont like 2x egrs but i can (to an extent) see why they are there, and my main thought is ford should have gone common rail with the 6.0.
i will be happy when you can tune the crap outa them tho! cant wait to see how they run, :D but ill be waiting to see that before i even think about getting one

I sure hope so. Ford needs this to go smooth.
It's not Ford that I am concerned for, it's the guys who shell out the dough for their product.
Seriously, good luck with the new ride. I'm sure you will love it, the interior looks way nicer and I really like the Super Duty stamp on the tailgate, it's bad ass!
I thought they put larger bolts on the 6.0 heads when they commonized them?

Its just cool to see that they are trying to make it right, hell even the hfcm has a real drain valve. no more diesel baths everyday. the fuel return has a cooler on it to.

I wonder how much of that will adapt to a 6.0?
