I saw on another forum someone mentioned that loading and unloading tunes too many times can be bad for the trans . said that when the trans keeps having to go through the learning mode it wears it down??????

I always drive sensibly for a couple of miles then gradually get the truck used to more aggressive acceleration. I don't know if it makes a difference but, it makes me feel better. Doug will vouch for me, I have had dozens upon dozens (we lost count) of different files and never had a problem.

I've got probably 50 tunes saved on my computer..all of em run multiple times trying stuff out. Like was said above...take it easy for a few miles then drive normally...you'll be fine.
Everyone has a way they're comfortable with...for me I go through all the shifts at light throttle a few times...then again at medium throttle...then a few times at WOT....sems to work just fine.

It constantly learns. From day one until the day you put it in the crusher. As the trans wears down the apply tolerances change. If you let it go through the gears before all out beating on it then it will work a little better. In some situations switching from products that don't control the trans over to an SCT will make it more apparent. If the transmission was warn down before and you clear out the learned strategy then it will show up. But switching from tune to tune in a truck with a solid trans won't be the death of it.
