Doug when i start my truck up when it is cold it is real loud and sounds like is goin to blow up.. Now ive posted this on the other fourm and one person said it was too much timing and not enough fuel?? It only happens when you first start the truck when it is above ill say 45- 55 degrees out, if it is cold (35 below outside) the truck starts fine so idk. And also when the truck is cold and i drive it if the rpms go above 2k the truck wants to take off like a rocket but it shift flares into all the gears thats ot really my concern since its fine when the engine needle moves jsut a little im jsut worried aobut when i start my truck and it even sounds liek something is worng since all my neighbors jsut look at the truck when i start it can you help me out doug.
Thanks

I would start by ditching Amsoil, it gave me all kinds of cold start problems that stopped the day I changed it.
Switch to a synthetic that has a 5w 40 rating and run it year round.

My truck does the same exact thing. Its not a timing issue. Its a fueling issue. As the oil gets cold it doesn't flow well to fire the injector when its cold. So when you combine that with a lower resolution range for injection control pressure it tries to get more fuel when its cold which makes it sensitive. If you take out the fuel or try to alter the map then you lose the power.
