anyone have the tow tune from Doug. I loaded it last night from the race tune to try it out. Wow the truck was quiet, but seemed to be more like stock?? Made me realize how much power the race tune really puts out, I was getting used to it. What are the changes from stock with the tow tune? Does doug make an economy tune for fuel mileage.

If you tow a lot and still want some power, have Doug tweak a street file.
Thats what I usually run, and I tow every day.
With a 3.5" dp and 4" exhaust without the kitty, pulling 10,000 lbs. I only see 1200 to 1300 degrees on the pyro, if I'm really on the pedal.

It's a good compromise between power and towability.
I think I just invented a new word "towability", I like it! LOL

That tow file is there for safety. It bumps the power slighty to make it more peppy, but its not designed to win a race. Look at the Flying J certified scale slip I posted we were almost at 37,000lbs on the scale. Not recommended to do that with the race file.

most weight i have ever seen on a scale was 20,600lbs

that was with a stock file.
