Hey, tuners....

Is it feasible to say those that buy a 2008 will be able to tune out the DPF soon and use a std. 4" exhaust? I don't care so much about lots of extra power tho.

The front of the particulate filter is about 5" inlet if I remember correctly. You can take it off now since it only tells the truck to go into regeneration when it starts to build pressure in the exhaust. If you take it off it will never go into regeneration cause it will never build any pressure.

hmm, surely it would throw a code and cause it to act screwy or something... not too mention Ford would love to see that thing missing...

I wouldn't mind getting an 08 but I'm scared to think about the regeneration and ford's initial try being not so favorable and end up with another guinea pig rig

It shouldn't throw a code. It will just think the filter is empty.

i'm anxious to see what happens to the mileage and power when it's fully removed.
