Less smoke

I found that when I installed the exhaust I get less smoke out of the truck. Is this because the truck spools faster and burns the fuel off?

Is too much smoke a bad thing? I love dumping it just for the smoke. I see some trucks that are like a locomotive, thats is what I want. Its great when you have some little shitbox on your bumper at a redlight.

i didnt notice my truck spooling any faster when i installed my exhaust...i went from the stock exhuast with the muffler and cat cut off to a 5" and noticed mines not as think...but i figured it was just cuz its not coming out of such a small hole.....
