I need some input as to a diagnosis of these problems. 1...The truck is harder than normal to start, it kinda stumbles into starting 2...If the truck has sit for awhile and the engine is not hot, whenever you try to get on it pretty decent, it starts stumbling and sounds like its breaking up with no power. But if the motor is hot it doesnt do it 3...I put it back to stock, still the hard starts and doesnt break up as bad stock, but it doesnt really have any power. 4...with the programmer on, it will surge in the upper rpm's and doesnt have near as much power at full throttle as it does at 3/4 throttle. Just looking for any suggestions before I take it in to the dealership. O yeah the truck is an 05.

Sounds like lazy injectors. What oil is in the truck?

SCT and 4" Silverline exhaust are the only performance mods

Im thinking 2 things. Leaking snap to connect fitting on the high pressure pump or lazy injectors. How many miles on the truck and when is the last time the fuel filters were changed?

22,700 and I just changed the filters again today, they were terrible(Might try changing fuel stations). It seems to have helped a lil, but we'll see when the engine is cold how it acts. With the programmer on the Race tune it is still surging in the upper RPM's, gonna try one of my old tunes and see if its just the tune now. I'll keep ya posted.

15,000 miles is the MAX life of those filters. 10-12k is the usual life. Then again exteded idling will shorten them up also.
