Doug, before putting that solenoid back in after cleaning i noticed on the end of the plunger, only half of it showed contact from whatever its supposed to be touching. Not sure if you can see in this pic, half of it is shiny and the other half shows oxidation. just making sure this is normal.

Its fine. That is where it rides on the little piece that moves the ring.

yeah i knew it was a contact area with another piece just thought it might be abnormal for it to only contact half of the area. thanks

Doug, finally had a chance to get that solenoid in. it fixed the rest of the issues i was having with the turbo. thanks again for the time and advice.
