Grizzly660 came on down this weekend. We put in the SCT for the 6.4L and loaded up the extreme tune. Drove the truck and it felt kinda sluggish. So this morning we headed to the shop this morning to delete the particulate filter and the catalyst. Drove the truck to see how she felt. The stock filter box is so restrictive that it sucks the filter minder sucks down. As a test, I yanked the filter to see if that was the restriction. Filter minder still sucked shut. So we ran it without the top on it. And holy crap. 40.7 psi of boost on the livewire monitor. No check engine lights. And the truck runs great.

I want to give Doug a huge thanks for all his hard work to make this happen! He worked 2 full Saturdays to help me out and I didn't want it to go unnoticed. Also I wanted to give everyone an update on the truck and what you will run into if you straightpipe the 6.4's. Most everyone knows the 6.4 kid also straight piped his truck and posted a video. He also reported no issues. I can tell you that with about 300 miles on the truck with the SCT Extreme tune loaded the truck has gone into regen and will stay in regen mode until the 3 EGT's reach a certain threshold. Without the particulate filter that threshold will never be met. With all that said Doug is actively seeking a way around this and we will keep everyone posted. Overall the truck runs like a scalded dog and can't wait for the custom tuning!

The check engine light never came on.....Just smoked a lot!!! I put the filter back in until someone figures out how to disable the regen. These trucks will have a lot of potential with 41psi of boost coming from the compounds!

this is just a thought i had, (have not tried it yet) if you use a up-fitter switch and run it to the pto or battery charge protect circuit and leave it on the engine will not go into regen mode. anytime the circuit is enabled the regen is not allowed to run.

I spoke with the guys at SCT about it. They have been playing with Chevy and Chrysler tuning stuff and have back burnered the 6.4L stuff. I know of one way to fix the problem. Find me a south african 6.4L or some other export vehicle without the DPF and get me the strategy.
