I have an 07 w/ dougs sct tunes and 4" turbo back MBRP no cat. I need to get an intake, everyone on ftw says closed is best, more air, and cooler. Doug is using airraid, I am considering the volant w/ ram air duct, the efe stage 2 sealed or the airraid. Any experience or opinions? The afe is almost $400! Doug also says the afe is throwing MAF sensor problems, so I am leaning towards airraid or volant. Does the air raid have a top?

The airaid doesn't come with a top, however you can buy a top like mine or make your own. http://photos.gogodiesel.com/data/500/medium/Picture_023.jpg

Doug said the afe throws the MAF sensor off. On the airraid does it come with a spot to install the factory filter minder or did you do that youirself? Does the volant have that option?

Airaid has a place for the factory filter minder, not sure on the Volant

I found a Cigarette butt two large dragonfly's and a shit load of butterfly's. Now I understand about the bugs and all but a cigarette lmfao , my trucks going to have lung disease;)

Oh you guys could have told me that I would need a screw driver 3 foot long lol...:upyours::hehe:

I did the ZooDad the other day on my odd 6 well I'm thinking did I make the hole big enough ? I made it about
3 1/2" x 2 1/2" wide , is that big enough or should I trim out more.
On my 04 I had it was a large hole I made in that truck , what do you guys think ?

Large enough to allow access to the mouth of the intake and you are good.

The best intake to me is an Air Aid. I saw a 10 rwhp gain just by changing from a k&n to an air aid, so imagine what the difference is from stock to airaid....

Both the volant and airraid seemed the same to me, what sold me was the built in removable ram air cover on the volant. I dont need any water in the airbox. Fit and finish was good. Has a rubber plug in the side for filter minder and a spot for the MAF sensor. Box was solid, a pain to fit in there but all sqid and done I really like it.
