Guys I have been using stanadyne for a while now and can tell it's in there and when it's not. I seen diesel kleen at the parts store for $5.08 that is for up to 100 gallons of fuel. Whats the difference between the two . I have read online about the two but maybe someone with first had can tell me more..
The bottle they had was gray in color not black like on the net .. like here

I usually pick up the Power Service. Ford's diesel fuel additive is made by stanadyne. I remember back in the 7.3L days of putting in injectors that we always put in a bottle of the additive as part of the repair.

lots of stuff about additives making the lubricity worse in diesel, not better. I used to use DK but never saw any difference. right now Im trying 2cycle. not noticing anything on that either. oh well

If you see a pump that says "premium" diesel. That is supposed to mean a cetane of 50 or better. So if the fuel is questionable then get a few points from an additive.
i use power service, and i *think* i notice a little difference - ive been keeping better track of my MPG as of late to try to determine if there really is any benefit
but as far as

id prefer to just get fuel some place that sells a lot...but heck the stuff isnt exactly break the bank expensive, so why not use it even if its a placebo?
