I am moving to New orleans in 2 weeks...1350 mile trip.

I have 6 gallons of unused Wesson Vegetable oil.
I have a 29 gallon fuel tank.

Could I put 1 gallon of vegetable oil in per 29 gallon tank, without hurting anything????????

basically 29:1 mixture

Any techincal info (not guesses) would be great.

:eek:You put pure Wesson Vegetable oil in even if you dilute it I'd say your gonna screw something up. :badidea:

I could be wrong I'm still a Virgin in the smokers world:gr_cheers:

Dump it in. Are you cleaning out the kitchen cabinents? It will burn it. Probably smell pretty good too.

That will work without hurting our trucks ? What would be the gain from it?

Doug- yeah ...i figured it wouldn't be a problem,...I've been hearing about guys using 80% straight Veggie oil....I'm cleaning the cabinets like you said,...at most ...I'd put 2 gallons Veggie per 29 gallon tank

Thanks man...just reassuring myself

What does this do for the engine .........
So take a bottle of veggie oil drop into tank when filling up ?

I don't do it all the time....I just have extra laying around that I have to get rid of....there aren't any benefits,...because it cost more than fuel,...

If it was 50 cents a gallon for new veggie oil....I'd be runnin it ALL the time....lol

I'm moving soon and i don't want to just throw it away.

so basically the only thing it will do is give you an extra gallon on burnable fuel and smell different?

It will also help lower your engines Bad (LDL) cholesterol and fight prostate cancer.

LOL,
you could run 2cycle oil to lube your injectors , probally would burn with more energy than veggie oil too

thier are lots of guys using it, Ive read alot of threads on it on another forum. I used to use Powerservice but now trying 2cycle oil. theres a few independent studies on additives also you can find on the web. they are all subjective though. the magic ratio seems to be one ounce 2cycle oil per gallon of fuel. always been intrested in what doug thought about this idea

There is a thread somewhere around here that a company did alot of testing....with multiple different products.

And after reading it,....I WILL NOT use 2 cycle, or Marvel Mystery oil in my truck EVER AGAIN,... The actual study showed it wears out your internal bearing alot quicker....no thank you.

I use Power Service w/ cetane boost,...it was one of the better ones,.....not the best,...but pretty good.

found the web site...read it!!

The reason behind the additives is to improve the cetane of the fuel. Cetane is the explosivity of the fuel when it combusts. If the fuel pops at a higher rate you make more power. Less fuel needed to make the same power = mpg.

yes ive seen the same test results but i have also found many that show the complete opposite, thats why i say that they are all subjective.

Every once in a while I grab a bottle of PowerService. But I don't use anything on a regular basis. I just beat on the truck. Fill it back up. Beat on it again.
