I haven't had the '06 reflashed with the shutdown injector cycling reflash. Would it be possible to have the SCT tune perform the same function? I have no desire to get the reflash done and wait for the new SCT tunes. Besides the truck runs great so why reflash a good thing.

The shutdown injector cycling flash (buzz flash) is no longer available. They use something called the inductive heating flash which uses the injector spool valve solenoids to heat the spool valves to prevent stiction and injector failure. The SCT will not perform this function since it's controlled from the FICM which the SCT doesn't reprogram. Get the flash--it's really worth it in the long run. Cured my stiction in 2 days.

I just had it done. I was lucky that the new flash strategy matched the previous one. No new tunes needed.

How do I find out if the strategy codes are the same? I have the new flash but currently don't have a doug tune loaded. I put the stock tune back in for the reflash.

Load the file up and see if it works.

I have the flash that causes the injectors to cycle after shut down and it didn't change my strategy.
Eric told me they only flash the ficm and it shouldn't change the strategy, but I'd still check it before and after

I have to get some work done (studs or head gaskets) first. My truck goes threw alot of coolant and makes stinky blue smoke. And when I load a tune on it seems to run worse and shakes real bad.
