I need some input on how to become more consistent. This is my idea, if you have more please help.

- find a tune I like and stick with it.
- set the truck up and keep it that way.
- boost it to lets say 10 pounds everytime and launch at that.
- Last but not least is R/T.

I am no racer by any means..but I think you should try an RPM launch..dont worry about the boost..try that and see how it works for you..thats what alot of the guys that are real consistent do.

Pete--You're gonna say this is stupid, but I'm gonna give you a link for practicing on a tree. Helped me TONS at the track. My RT went from .758 to .3 Remember the lights are 1/2 second apart.

The only problem with this is I'm using my finger. I always leave when the last yellow comes on. My reaction times are always in the .1**. I even pulled a .007 against Brian (FirstOnRaceDay) Lots of luck.

If someone could develop a foot pedal system for the computer this would fun.

There is a practice tree for your foot. Its available: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=PTS%2D3100&N=700+115&autoview=sku

How much fun would that be at your next birthday?

The practice tree is definitely going to get your timing down on the lights. It takes time to be good on the tree. Track time is the only real way you are going to gain consistency. While you are learning a rpm launch is going to help you be consistent. When you are rolling into the tree, you light the first bulb, then wait until he has both bulbs lit. That way you are in control of the tree. You cant take for ever to roll in, but being in control of the tree helps your reaction times. Run the same tunes definitely. Even check tire pressure. Run about 5-8psi less that what you do on the street to start with. This should get you running consistently. The most important thing to remember is you are out there to have fun. So make sure you are having fun.

I leave by rpm's because you can be more consistent doing that than trying to get the boost built up to the right psi.

Once I trip the second staging light I roll into the throttle until my rpm's are were I want them....as soon as the last yellow comes on I GOOOO!!!
