I have been running Doug's street file in my 07 from almost day 1 with 15,000 miles now. I am still pulling an 11' tall 10,000 pound work trailer every day with a few thousand pounds of plaster and garbage in the back along with a 12,000 pound camper on the weekends. I have no idea how far this truck will go on a full tank without dragging something behind it or with an empty box.
It has been down to -5 a number of times and the truck starts fine without being plugged in with a rough idle for a few seconds then quickly smooths out, completely acceptable. It starts normal at 20deg and up.
My 03 and the 07 do the same stock.
There is no shift flare, gear hunting or puking or sensitive off/on throttle when taking off when it's super cold. The only time the egt get out of control is when the cruse is on and it down shifts to go up a big hill. I just turn the cruse off in anticipation and regulate the throttle accordingly.
Sometimes these boards can be depressing. I figured it would be nice to do a no problems, all is well post.
