New Features:
-----------------------------------
Advanced Optimisation Protocol (AOP) System:
The AOP system has been introduced into this version, which to simplify basically greatly reduces server load. How is that done? Well right now the shoutbox will constantly keep refreshing for data, even if there's nothing new, and that refresh will consume resources, which is then mulitplied by the number of people viewing your shoutbox.
The AOP system (when turned on) will make the shoutbox only refresh when there is actually new data to fetch, basically means when no one is chatting in your shoutbox, it'll consume no server resources other than that to display itself on the page http://forums.infernotechnologies.net/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
AJAX Keep-Alive System
This AJAX keep-alive system is designed mainly for Internet Explorer, which suffers from AJAX "locks", the system will detect these locks, and will combat it by allowing AJAX 3 fails before then resetting the AJAX request. In 99% of tests, this made the shoutbox work as it was supposed to in IE7 fully.
Detach Shoutbox
The shoutbox can now be detached, allowing it to pop up in its own seperate window http://forums.infernotechnologies.net/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
Disable Admin Command Notices Option
This option simply allows you to turn off admin notices, you know, when you ban or silence a user, or prune, an auto message will appear. Well now you can stop that http://forums.infernotechnologies.net/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
Archive Link On Mainbar Option
Those who wanted a seperate link to the archive have it, a new option enables just that! Ofcourse, if you're not all that bothered, leave the option off http://forums.infernotechnologies.net/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
Disable Private Messaging
The PM system inside the shoutbox can now be turned off, if you don't want members using the shoutbox that way!
Edit/Delete In Archive
We know, you've wanted it for some time now, wait no more (yes it is AJAX!) http://forums.infernotechnologies.net/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
/prune [username] Admin Command
Atlast, you can prune shouts from a single (pesky) user!
Archive Search System
The archive now has an internal built search engine, to search for shouts to help you find anything you've missed out on.
Low Level Logging Option
A new log system enables 'Low Level' logging, this can track edited and deleted shouts, along with ban/unban/silence/unsilence/notice/removenotice commands! So you can see who's doing what should you need it http://forums.infernotechnologies.net/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
High Level Logging Option
The higher level logging system enables logs of 'prune' and 'prune user' commands, but in these instances, the logs also take "snapshots" of the entire shoutbox before the prune command is initiated, which you can view in raw format when viewing the logs, so if a staff member prunes the shoutbox due to some rule breaking, you can always go back to the raw logs to view the entire shoutbox history prior to their prune http://forums.infernotechnologies.net/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif
