bullshit sled pull!

well doug, wanna hear the outcome??

went to a sledpull sat. night and they checked turbo inlet sizes....street class was supposed to be 2.50 inlet, but allowed up to 2.55....well, i have the 65/88 wheel/housing and the mofo measured out to 2.559 and they wouldnt let me pull in that class....made me bump up to the 2.80 class.

SO, to make it worse, a couple people told me to try to pull 4low D instead of 3rd like i usually do cuz the track was soft. tried it.....NO go!!! never again will i do that!! fuckin thing went up in 4th or 5th gear and just stoppped moving and pouring smoke! up till then it kept on upshifting and downshifting till that happened....and i pulled it to 101 foot before that happened so i couldnt get a damned rehook either:upyours:

drove 75 miles one way and paid 5 to enter the fair and 30 to hook for that bullshit too...:banging:

Sounds like the tech guy had the caliper a little crooked on the inlet! Doh!

they had a plastic bung plug that shouldnt fit in the hole and it barely did....so i called dougy and he gave me a formula so use and 2.559 is what it came out to be....so i dunno if if was machined wrong or what...?

and its funny you say that cuz i was originally planning on going to the track sat. until i was told there was a few guys goin to the pull....so for $$ reasons i only pulled...thought about both. but i really want some no2 for the track....plenty of black leftover!! also think im going to try to reinstal my stock wheel/housing....?

Been there w/ that "tech bs" b4... class restriction was 2.5 and my turbo was 2.4 but they bumped me up b/c it had a 4" shrouded housing. Awe well, a 450 hp powerstroke had to pull against 800+ hp cummins.

yeah thats horse shit! it aint like out poor little 6.0 is gonna do any damage to the class anyways.....OR WOULD IT?? lol
