prob not since you have to be a member of NHRDA it kind of depends on money hell I might have to drive my wifes car I am going to try and get some ppl ride up with me to split the fuel things are really slow here and money is tight but I really want to go and I have a free place to stay so I will be there

Listen you need to become a NHRDA member. Its what $40.00. Then $35.00 to race. Its bracket racing and all you need to do is be consecutive. I can help you out and give you pointers. Once you run you will be hooked.

I figured the track is 300 miles North of me. So 600 miles plus 50 miles of driving around. I need $220.00 in fuel. That is if I get 15 MPG.
I need to win this race. I better bring a bag of sugar and take care of the competition. I win the GoGo way...
Getting my GOGO Diesel stickers made for my truck. Can't wait to get jumped at DJ's party.

What a great time. My wife and I left Ft. Lauderdale at 4:00pm to get to DJ and Vivians party at 8:30. We ended up parked on the Turnpike for an hour waiting for EMS to fly someone out. We pulled into the party at 10, the whole time Im thinking everyone would be gone. Nope...party was still going strong. We ended up leaving at 3:00am.
Saturday morning was ruff. We went and found a car wash to clean up all the bugs off our trucks. We pulled up to the gates at 4:15pm and I must say I have never seen that many diesels in one spot before. Well done guys. The track folks did a great job keep us moving.
I had one of the guys from Diesel World magazine wanting to do an article on my truck. I think after he saw my 15et run he walked away. lol. Need to figure the truck out, It keeps running slower every time I run. :hate:

That's Adam and Adam in the one picture. Onesadharley is parked on the far side of Abrannan19. First Coast Diesel Performance representin!
I recently learned that Pete is a Canadian transplant. That explains his poor performance at the track! Taking the truck to Doug is only going to make things worse Pete. Just get some 29x9.50 tires so you can at least break into the 14s again!

Listen up you yanks....Doug wrote me a tune for my truck and it ran a 14.10.My uncles tune ran a 14.8 the same night. Its the greatest tune in the world.
15.10.This was with the same set up just a different tire manufacturer but for some reason it keeps dropping. The odd thing is it idles and runs great on the street with no codes.
I'm changing my fuel filters next to see what they look like.
Anyone have a fuel gauge I could have??

peter..what time of year were those times ran? You know it was very very hot and humid at the track that day..
if you took your gay helmet off you would probably go faster..helmets are for 13's..

08-15-2008, 03:16 PM
Temperature definitely makes a difference. I've run 14.24 @ 8100 lbs w/ 55* track temps and also run a best of 14.26 @ 7700 lbs with 80* track temps. Same times but 400 lbs difference in weight. If you have a 30-40* track temp swing I could see you running at least 1/2 second slower with higher temps.
I've seen more than one best run made during cold nights that couldn't be duplicated on hot days. Of course temperature has nothing to do with the Canadian/Cuban/Polish thing.
Abrannan19
08-15-2008, 03:17 PM
I bet that track temp was 120* +
it was very hot that day..so i know the track was even hotter..

What was your 60' on those runs?
PSDPlayer
08-17-2008, 10:54 PM
His 60' has fallen off steadily. After the tire change and then his 4x4 problems. I wonder if them hubs are locking like they should.
VERYFAST6.0
08-17-2008, 11:46 PM
Are the tires bigger or heavier the drag could be killing him...He should have his hubs checked,I've seen them go bad on a few trucks after a while and so many launches..
PSDPlayer
08-17-2008, 11:50 PM
Tires are roughly the same size, but lighter. The hubs were having issues at the last race, but he has not had time to pull them apart. Only the drivers side has been out when we swapped out the unit bearing that was about to let the drivers wheel fall off.
mooring product
08-18-2008, 09:42 AM
The hubs won't lock so I manualy lock them. 4x4 works fine. Its just low on power.
I have noticed that the truck shakes a little more after I run it for a long distance. It misses a little.
VERYFAST6.0
08-18-2008, 01:34 PM
So the tires are not an issue then..Like Doug said take out the other hub and check it.It's better to be safe than sorry..Pete you say that you hear a miss have you checked your fuel pressure to see where it's at?Also how about your fuel filters?Check out all those little things.

08-18-2008, 02:42 PM
No I need to check/change the filters and pressure. I pulled the other wheel and it feels tight. The truck feels like it has very little resistance on the road.
