I have a stock fuel system on my 7.3, and took a few pictures on filter replacement. It's pretty basic.

Motorcraft (Motorcraft Part#FD4596) with factory ford filter cap on the left, Baldwins (Baldwin Part# PF7698) replacement filter on the right

Just don't throw away the factory cap. You may need it one day. I only ever run the motorcraft filters for this reason.

We used to use the Baldwin filters on the 550s at work. I'm not a fan of the filter/cap combo. I've seen too many problems with them in the past. Some genius threw away all the Ford caps and I had to buy new ones to switch back.

Billet is always nice especially if you have thrown away that unattractive plastic cover that would hide it from view.
