It is when you get something beside you that doesn't have one and you get spanked.
For instance at the Gainsville NHRDA race there was a 99 body style mustang testing with twins on DRAG radials that went 199 mph in 1/4 with no bars. So in my eyes why the fuck would something slower need them. I say get some Balls and ride out.

It helps in tuning the suspension. You can see where it hits. All them superwheel stands aren't helping forward motion, and the slamming down ain't helping either.

just because its done with no wheelie bars doesn't for one minute mean its the 'smart' way to do something.

yeah i hear both of you too! Thats what limiters and adjustable struts and shocks are for. If you learn how to make the right adjustment with the suspension then you shouldn't need bars. Yes at some point certain things over come one another. But I don't see the need for them on 6.0 bracket cars. All I'm saying is I wont have some shit hanging off the back of my ride unless I put a chute on it and thats a negative for me in that area as well.

Or what changing the angle of the upper 4-link bar is for.

TRUE!!
Wheelie bars are mostly used to limit the amount of wheel stand and help in tuning suspension.
Wheel standing looks cool, but that's about all.
Every car is gonna leave different and even if I didn't have bars mine willl not come up but so much anyway.
I could honestly care if someone haves them or not....that's mostly just grudge racers finding something to bitch about:jerkoff:

You are right David!!!
Doug & Adam ......But there are alot of classes that dont allow wheelie bars too. So if your not allowed to use them, then you have to learn how to make the car work. To me that is more challenging than just throwing a bandaid on there.
