Fuel system is stock.

That's your whole problem, you needed the Fuel Intensifier +.

i think its alot of air and not enough fuel...thats my problem for sure. i have the air dog and raptor pump but im also pushing ALOT of air with the nitrous. i think im slowing myself down..my trap speeds seem low for my time..at least a few MPHs.

I want to do injectors and keep with the same amount of spray, maybe i could actually add another one and use my progressive controller and just ramp the nitrous that way.

BUT then again if you were having fuel issues with a dead injector that could have been a BIG problem right there, starving the truck for fuel and pushing too much air. lets just see what the truck does tomorrow if pete runs it with the new injector in there

The truck has never felt stronger. I think my problems were the ICP and HPOP.

I'm only running at 30psi and have a little haze. GOing tonight to see if I can get into the 13's. No NOS tonight.

without video and 2 consecutive passes (in drive and reverse, mind you) it's all bogus anyway... no one will believe it other wise. So follow Rob's suggestion, bring a camera. Also, you'll need 13 still shots of your fastest run- just a heads up before ya leave ;)
Now go rip it! :rocking:

That's a nice improvement over what it was doing. You probably have a good .1 left in your 60' time yet. Even with the 60' being a tick off your 1/8 looks good. MPH looks just a little weak so maybe she's still just a tad weak on the top end?

Get a fuel pump that will move the fuel that the truck needs on the top end and you are easily in the 13s. I'm glad to see that you are at least on the right path and making progress!

I need to pull an Evan and drop it down and put some smaller tires on it. Then I would get better 60' and better top end.

all kidding as side, i dont trailer nothing with my truck, i dont go off roading. for me its cool and its my truck so i can do that ya know. i took the blocks out of the back and took the over load springs out. nothing for the front thats stock height, i put stock size tires on it and i like the way the truck sits, it actually sits a little lower then my brothers f150

with the 35s on there i was able to cut a 1.8/1.9 60' but it def puts ALOT of wear on the truck. i had the whole lifted thing going on and it was cool but my girl friend bitched it was too high and i couldnt fit in the parking garage down in AC when i went to visit nate :hehe:

I'm on the hunt for a stock suspension. I got my tires a year ago and they look brand new so I'm not sure how to handle that.

My main goal is to get the truck to ride better. We are going to Canada next year and will be taking the truck. With 4 family members fling is expensive.

i hear ya pete, my pro comp lift def road like shit vs the way it is now, i put the rancho rs9000s or whatever, the new 9 way adjustable ones. the silver ones. what an awesome ride it is, its not like the newer trucks but for a leaf spring truck it rides great.

i took the blocks out too, i havent loaded anything super heavy in the bed so idk how sits with a load in there.

maybe you could sell your 35s with or without the wheels, see what kinda deal you get. im looking to get a pair of rubber to put on my 16x10 wheels i picked up not too long ago.

I've got my blocks out too. With a heavy load its sits down alittle but its not that bad. My heavy load consist of around 1700-2000 lbs. But i think for some reason my truck might have the FX4 springs just cause it rides rough compared to the 4dr trucks. I havent lowered the front yet. Just really havent had the time to mess with that yet. We have lowered two other trucks that were 4x4 in the front and the back.

How did you do this in the front?

WAO Racing
12-16-2008, 02:54 PM
We de-arched the springs as much as we wanted it to lower down in the front. It still rides great and haven't had any problems out of it. We did not heat the springs.
One of the trucks has drop shackles in the back with the block out too.The biggest thing is not to lower it to much in the front or you will hit the bump stop unless you want to notch the frame to raise the bump stop up some which is something that I have been thinking about doing. I haven't completely made my mind up yet about it is another reason why I haven't touched the front yet. Plus if I do the front I need to get some shackles for the back too.

I have a set of stock F-250 leafs for the rear. They came out of Super Stroker. So they should be good for 20hp. I have no use for them. Hell I'll even swap out the ones from the dually if you want those.

i dont even have bump stops up front anymore. how did you de-arched the springs? i wanna go lower with mine..up front is totally stock

WAO Racing

We used a press to de-arch the springs. You wont get but 1'-1 1/2 out of it before you start to run into problems with it trying to hit the bump stop or in your case the frame. Thats why i was saying I've thought about notching the frame alittle to get another 1' or so out of it. What you have to take into consideration is the frame near the spring mounts and where the bump stop is for going any lower than whats above. Also another thing that would need to be checked would be part of the steering and the front drive shaft. Not sure how far the front drive shaft will slide up in there and still have a safe amount of room for travel before it hits the case. I would like to see 2" max of wheel to fender gap. Sitting with less would even be sweeter. But thats just me. Sure would be nice to have the new style coils in the front right about now. The rear could always get a flip kit I suppose.

All I need is the front springs and a set of 33" tires. The rear has a small block and an add a leaf that need to be removed.

Maybe I should put my tires and lift on craiglist and see what happens.
