Alot of you guys have 6.0's and run them.. What's up with this?
The starter burned me down at the track this past weekend, leaving us staged for about 20 seconds after our lights were lit.. When I finally left, the truck had no power and crawled down the track.. We were running at an 1/8 mile track.. I ran 8.6 (4) times and this last pass was a 12+..
Did the PCM pull everything back because it didn't see the truck moving after having a load put on it after a while...
Everything seemed okay today.. I had to tow my toy hauler about 400 miles to get home... It was fuggin HOT here in the desert too..

If something happend in the trans it has a mode that will put it in direct all the time. feel like you are towing 40k lbs. Also if the coolant temp and oil temp get above a certain point the pcm will pull fuel to keep the motor from overheating.

i'm sure it was getting hot in there.. i was sitting at 1750 rpms for about 25 seconds.. i've felt the PCM defuel before.. this was way worse..

Damn, 25 seconds. what's up with that?
If it was just a test and tune night you should have just took off regardless after about 5 seconds of sitting there staged. Fucking burn me at the tree LMFAO

It can get really bad. 25 seconds is an eternity for the converter.

it was a grudge match and i was waiting and waiting and waiting for the lights to drop and lost against a handshaker Dodge running 10 sec 1/8ths.....
hard lesson to learn.. i know i'll back out next time.. that was ridiculous..
the same thing had happened to a local guy that runs there.. it cost him a trans.. of course he told me about this after the fact...

Tree operator was just letting the mighty Cummings spool up the big ass turbo.

When referred to in the "mighty" sense, it's always with a G. Pure Dukie style!

Don't even have to slip dragstrip staff a 20 down on the low low to favor you at the tree, the mighty Cummings idle lets everyone know what'sup.

we were both spooled the whole time.. the starter was just being a douche bag.. there were only about 10 vehicles left racing and i guess he thought he was going to fuk with us.. lanes were closed after the last cars behind us ran..Truck made it back from San Diego and ran good..
this track was a trip.. we stopped racing twice during the day because of tarantula's on the track getting in the traps/beams at the end..

Yeah I bet your TC is hating life.... the operators around here will trigger the tree as soon as you stage if the other person is staged.

Aint that the truth!
Staying on the converter that long will toast it.
