What would be the best shock for my truck which is a 2001 F350 7.3l 4X4. The truck is not lifted. Thanks.

non lifted applications, the best shocks are the bilstein 5100 series....

What kind of a ride do you like?

I have the regular OEM replacement Bilsteins (Yellow/Blue) on mine, not the 5100 series. My overall impression riding over the same uneven and tore the shit up roads was a definite improvement over the worn out Ranchos that were on there before. I wasn't expecting it to ride like a Cadillac but something a little better that I could notice over winter salt rusted limp Ranchos!

I just did a quick search on a few sites I know that sold them but can't find the ones I'm running right now at the moment. I've seen the 5100 series, which everyone says will fit stock height suspension.

i am thinking or going with edlebrock extreme ias ones...the regular ias i had on the 150 were really cool...they were pretty soft and absorbed all the bumps really well, and really held stiff when you were in an offramp or something. They weren't as good in the fields as the ranchos because they absorbed so much so easily...

i dunno if they will get tore up plowing though so i may just rancho up again....the plow weight in front is kinda rough on shocks...

DR is also one of the highest rated ones.....but i think they are made by edlebrock or made exactly the same way...

funny thing about the ias is you mount it upside down, the chrome goes up....has some special valve or something the can tell the difference between road bumps and body lean....it really took out all the sway i had....
