Nice runs! I would like to know who actually believes in an 8% loss from flywheel to rear wheel in a truck like that? Make it more like 20% and you may be close. Still pretty impressive for 190s and stock turbo.

Thanks guys..I was very happy with the runs.. and I used the PSN HP Calculator and it said *assumes 20% drive train loss FWIW and I was running a IDP X-race tune, not specific for my 190's. Best it ran several years ago with DIP tunes was a 14.1 with stock tires and wheels.

That smoke trail seems to state, a turbo not specific to your 190s. And since I remember being there at the track, you would not launch hard since you were too far from home for something to break.

What is it when someone won't launch at more than 10psi but then says the other persons tune is faster?

720Deere

Who doesn't launch? I know that's not directed at me. I think it's safe to say that the driver makes as much difference as the tuning.

PSDPlayer

The stock wheels comment only running a 14.1. Someone wouldn't launch hard enough for fear of breaking something.

And before we get started on the nitrous solenoid not working because DJ said it needed a relay, Peter's nitrous works just fine.

not sure why thats relevant, BUT that will be fixed soon.

for the sake of argument, here are the only two videos I have from that weekend, here is the 15 second pass running you, I think i left at about 10psi or so..cant remember, that was quite some time ago.

http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c23/Abrannan19/MISC/?action=view&current=MOV03714.flv

and then the 14.3 run
http://s24.photobucket.com/albums/c23/Abrannan19/MISC/?action=view&current=MOV03711.flv

and the next time I go to the I will run the "super race 22's" tune and see what happens.

I was a bit nervous about launching super hardin Miami since I was about 5 hours from home..but as you can see in the videos it was an unboosted launch, plus I was trying to launch off boost, which was a bad idea anyways.

here is one of my passes 14.0x passes

The dump. Now it makes sense, you must have started stroking it hard when the guy gave you that +8,000lb weight slip excuse maker, that you forgot about the 700lbs of junk you were hauling in the bed? :violin::pointlaugh:

I would have guessed 7,700lbs max for a +05 CC/SB with bigger than stock tires, but if that's what it says, then I guess that's what it is.

I agree David, my SC/SB 7.3L weighed 6,960lbs by itself back in 2007, the only thing missing was a spare tire. Not sure how much fuel was in the tank if Petey Pablo wants to get technical, I'd say 1/2 to 1/4.

That 17 second ET don't match up with your RWHP bro, you must be off a few thousand pounds incorrect about your weight. Your truck is easily over 10,000lbs to max out at 75MPH in the 1320. :monkey:

I'm a fat poser.

Things I should take out of my truck when racing
- rear sub box with two 10's. 63lbs Flea market speaker are heavy mofos.
- aluminum tool box. 40lbs
- kids chairs. 10lbs
- tool kit 3lbs
- spare tire ??

I used to pull in the mirrors and pull the tail gate off but that didn't change a thing.

13.43 is something I could live with. Could I get it to go faster with smaller tires...we will soon find out. 33" 13 R18 in two months.

Until then I will continue having fun watching you guys analyze track times.

08-04-2010, 08:35 PM
Honestly Pete I would expect your truck to be around 300 lbs lighter than it's coming up. The 05+ front suspension weighs more than the leaf springs as a general rule. My CC long bed with tires and wheels not much lighter than yours weighs in at 8100-8200 as daily driven. That's with a leveling kit and a gooseneck hitch plus spray in bed liner. If you have a real thick spray in liner that could be a good source of weight gain. That stuff is heavier than people think. My weight has come in the same on about 5 or 6 different scales, so I don't doubt the accuracy of my claimed weights.
