The issue with mixing the coolants is not a matter of degraded corrosion protection, but an issue with increasing the amount of confusion associated with servicing the coolant. If green coolant is mixed into yellow, the coolant essentially needs to be treated like green coolant as far as service is concerned.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Froggy baby,
does my direct injection coolant filter increase the service interval of my gold coolant or does the additive components play out....????

The factory fill is good for 150k miles unless anything has changed it. Then it is good for 50k miles. The coolant filter just removes the scale and floating rust from the coolant, but the coolant will still break down. And the ever important thing to remember is that the coolant is soo much cheaper than an engine.

Does topping it off 7-10 times after procedures and filter changes and stuff constitute doing something to it and needing to change at 50k miles or am I still good to 150k....???I always use a 50/50 mix....
Thanks froggy..

Anytime something has altered the factory fill, its no longer under the original time.
