I do not know of an updated Snap To Connect fitting, but there is mention of a bracket. http://www.gogodiesel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9 Here is a link to the TSB in the diagnostic section.

Just what the doctor ordered.....Thank you so much...that bracket is what keeps the damn thing from making noise and consequently saves one the time of replacing lots of good parts...lol..

Is there any way to determine if/when the HPOP is gonna go if it is gonna go? Are these trucks typical to a batch or manufacture date, or is it all of the 05s? I have some long road trips planned in the near future, have about 20k on there now, stock tune.

There is no way to tell. Funny you mention long road trips. The generally tend to let go somewhere on a trip as you pull off the highway and coast to a stop. If you hear a ticking rattling noise in the back of the engine, and it sounds different from all the usuall racket from the engine then you may be hearing the connector rattle. But if you don't know what to listen for then don't drive yourself nuts trying to hear it.

mine can go day's no noise at all...then a good 100 mile trip usually gets her going and at steady speeds you dont nottice it but when you deaccellerate you do...and I have notticed if you take your foot off the pedal so the engine goes to idle it is a lot less severe then when you use the engine to slow down by gradually lightning up on the pedal....but mine has been making the noise now for what froggy 2 months...and probably 7000k miles...hope that helps some...

Definitely. Thank you. How long does it take to replace if necessary?

Book time anywhere from 8 to 16 hours. Real time = not as long (if everything goes correctly).
