This article supersedes TSB 06-12-9 to update model years and to add a production fix date.
ISSUE:
Some 2005-2007 F-Super Duty 250/350 4X2 vehicles built prior to 07/21/2006 may exhibit front wheel bearings that are noisy. This may be caused by bearing contamination due to road debris or water.
ACTION:
Use the following Service Procedure to resolve the concern.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
Replace bearings and related parts as necessary.
Install a revised brake disc shield which includes a foam seal to help reduce bearing contamination from road debris and water. Remove brake disc shields per Workshop Manual, Section 206-03 "Removal and Installation" "Brake Disc Shield" and replace.<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=3 border=1><TBODY><TR><TH align=middle>PART NUMBER</TH><TH align=middle>PART NAME</TH></TR><TR><TD class=NOBOTTOMBORDER align=left>7C3Z-2B159-B</TD><TD class=NOBOTTOMBORDER align=left>Dust Shield Assy RH</TD></TR><TR><TD class=NOBORDER align=left>7C3Z-2B159-A</TD><TD class=NOBORDER align=left>Dust Shield Assy LH</TD></TR><TR><TD class=NOBORDER align=left></TD><TD class=NOBORDER align=left></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
